Thomas J. Long Foundation Summer Internship for Undergraduates

The Thomas J. Long Foundation is offering a summer internship for undergraduates!

The Long Foundation is a private family foundation based in Walnut Creek that practices responsive grant making and awards grants to various local charitable organizations primarily in the San Francisco East Bay and Hawaii in five selected fields of interest – Arts & Culture, Conservation, Education, Health, and Human Services.

For those interested in an internship to start paving the path to a career in the social sector – the summer intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working at a private grant making Foundation.Working directly with the Foundation’s Program Officer, Aimee Eng, the Summer Intern will participate in site visits, grantee interviews, meetings, and special projects as they arise.  The intern will be responsible for conducting the due diligence and initial grant review for a small portfolio of grant applicants, and will be asked to make funding recommendations to the Staff and Board.
